When some customers tried to escape, they also attackedthem, including women,ஔ a restaurant employee said. Being ChristmasEve, the restaurant was crowded, mostly with families.஑Immoralஒ activitiesA DYFI activist, however, told The Hindu that the DYFI Palayam areacommittee had taken out a march from Kowdiar Junction to the outlet toprotest against the restaurantஒs promotion of ஓimmoralஔ activitiesamong the youth, including bike and car racing, which recently led toan accident. ஓThis is also creating public nuisance,ஔ he said.He added that DYFI activists had only intended to conduct a peacefulmarch and dharna in front of the restaurant but restaurant staffprovoked them by throwing stones.The incident happened in the presence of the police and the media.Restaurant staff added that a police case would be registered onlyafter a formal correspondence with the head office at Bangalore.The Museum police, meanwhile, said that no arrests were made as therewas no complaint.//
